I am very emotional and when I feel emotional, my eyes start glistening. Now, is that a girly thing to do? Is crying only a girly thing ?
We have always been told...boys don't cry.

Default Re: Precious Tears
In one survey more than 80 % of women reported that they cry at least occasionally—and nearly 20 % said that they do so frequently. Men ? Some 26 %admitted to occasional crying, with nearly 65 % insisted that they almost never do it . Women are clearly the weeper sex. It isn’t always this way ; nurses report that as babies, males and females cry the same amount ( a lot ) and for the same reasons—they’re hungry, tired, in pain, wet, bored. But by adolescence , boys have been mostly turned off the waterworks, responding to the message that big boys don’t cry. Girls , while they might be encouraged to vheer up, are generally not belittled for tearing up. Studies also show that children tend to adopt the crying behaviour of the same sex parent. So dads who are brought up to hold back their tears may have sons who do the same.

I never cry...whats there to cry man..for a man? Fortunately I don't get emotional enough to have watery eyes, whatever the circumstances. Maybe I am just plain lucky , not to have confronted such a situation.

Women cry at the drop of a hat. If one just raises their voice to them, out flow the tears. Now the question is, are they really as sorrowful as they seem to be or this is just a weapon to be used against the poor men?

Cry .huh. you know what it is? It is expression of emotion at that moment. it is not wise to condemn by calling girlie thing , as if girlie thing is weak .let us say , why more woman cry, they do not want to hold emotion inside heart or mind .By expressing they are clear. Women are smart .Most men say they don’t cry. Does it mean that they are not ever affected by emotion? They do not cry because they feel they would be showing weakness and hold inside heart. So men suffer more. Not a good sign.

Yes , crying is expression of feeling .when child cries, it finds easiest way to express its agonies , be it hunger, or pain , that is the way to express. When ego is hurt, what else one can do .similarly, when one is helpless. or pain si unbearable. If very close to you dies, what else you can do except cry. .Thought process thinks only of pain you got. so cry is as good expression is laugh or anger or sadness.

Crying is immediate solution to problem when nothing else comes in mind, mastered by many women. At that moment they may not be helpless or feeling extreme pain but at least they are sure few tears from reddish eyes can weaken men endlessly and man may surrender. Don’t you think many children try on parent or beloved on her lover?
