I am the almost step-mom to a 12 year old boy. My boyfriend is actually his step-dad, but has been so since he was 7 months old and refers and feels he is his dad and my boyfriend feels the same way. The Mom hates me because I have with her exhusband and according to the 12 year old always talks bad about me and wants him to say bad things about me and things I do when he is visiting. My boyfriend says that sounds like her. My boyfriend has tried to talk to her and remind her of what the parenting classes she took said, but she does not care. Is there any advice that we can do to let him know it is ok to like me and what to do when his mom starts bad mouthing me?
