Of course, my husband and I both wanted every photo that we had of our children growing up, but neither of us would budge on who would get what when we were negotiating the divorce. It lead to one of our biggest fights. I looked for a way to make copies of the photos, but it was too expensive ($2 per scanned photo!) until I found a blog about a new AFFORDABLE photo copying service. They put every photo that I had of my grandparents, parents and kids on a DVD for me for only $29! It’s the least expensive scanning place that I have found, by far…

I ordered a pre-paid box, filled it with pictures, returned it, and they sent me my kids photos back along with all of them on DVD. Now my ex and I both have digital files of every copy of our kid’s photos to look at on the computer or print whenever we want. I took my DVD to wal-mart and had them print my favorites. I put another DVD copy in my safe deposit box, just in case of a fire. Now our family history and my children’s childhoods will be preserved forever… and it was one less battle to fight with the ex.

Here is the place I used: familyphotoscanning.blog.com

I understand when people have to undergo situations like these its a rather traumatic situation for them but then we must not forget that the kids have a life of their own and these tender lives should always be given adequate importance. I came across the ideas of photos being transformed to canvas and that is something I really appreciated to be given to the members of the family. Despite the mental frame of mind I believe this is something we all need to do for the sake of the kids.

It is great how technology is actually being used in a positive way. This way you are both happy and you did not have to pay a fortune for duplicating pictures by scanning...
