I wanted to know about the chances that I have to get my daughter's custody?? As I have said in the other section, my husband is a drug addict and is in prison right now. I want to fill a divorce case and but wanted to be sure first about the chances that I may have to get her custody?? I am independent and work to sustain myself and my daughter, is this taken into consideration in court? and I am also mentally stable and can look after my child. Some of my friends told me that I am on the safe side and that I have all the chances to get her custody. Do you think that they are right??

Do not worry, your friends are right, there are many things which will play in your favour. Like for example the fact that your husband is a drug addict and that you work and can look after your daughter. Your story really sadden me and I wanted to tell you to have courage and not to lose hope!!

I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE LAWS BUT CONSIDERING YOUR SITUATION, I THINK THAT ANYONE WOULD SAY THAT YOU ARE ON THE SAFE SIDE BECAUSE YOUR HUSBAND IS NOT FIT TO LOOK AFTER YOUR CHILD!!!

if he is in prison then i guess he won’t get custody, am i right? where will she live if your husband gets custody? will your daughter go to jail with the father? anyway the fact that he has problems with the law, the judge would give you custody as they should know that he will not be a good example for your daughter.
