Why should we believe in something? Is religion really important in people's life? What about the persons who never went to church in their whole life? They won't go to paradise. I'm not a very religious person, though i 'm scared sometimes because you know why? It's scares me to know that it may be true that people who don't pray go to hell

I have heard that if you dont pray that you dont go to heaven. However I myself am not really sure how it works. I'm not necessarily a religious person myself however I believe that someone somewhere is up there. I dont believe that they expect you to pray to them or go to church every Sunday ect for them. I believe that they want you to live life to the fullest be happy and thankful and kind every day. Thats it

I go with Mia's line of thought. And anyway, I don't think an angel like you, Berg, could go to hell!! That's the point, you don't really pray, but I think it's the way you live, your actions which count, which keep, if you believe in Hell and Heaven, your place in Paradise...

Oh thank you very much Mia for taking time to read my thread and replying to it with a very good answer. So when i will die, God will forgive all my sins? Even the worse things i have done in my whole life?

Obviously people are not interested in religion on this forum

Bergisten, i'm here to answer all your questions. You should believe in something because everyone needs to believe in something so that he can move on. Yes, religion is important because i learnt this at school. The person who never went to church in their whole life are lazy. Don't worry you won't go to hell Bergisten, you'll just sit next to me in heaven when you'll die.

It's not always about laziness. I used to go to church every sunday and all. But I found myself sleeping or thinking about something else while the priest was preaching. Now I go less there. It's not that I'm lazy, it's that it silly if I'm not completely into the mass celebration.... I prefer praying, and making God know he exists for me, even if I don't go to mass celebrations often.

No, I sleep during the preach!! (that is, PART of the mass.) Sometimes the priest goes on for an hour preaching, and I don't manage to follow completely... But I pray! Is it not good enough??

LoL. I'm not a church-goer, but it happens that I pray. When I was a child , mum wanted us to go to the mass but I would accept to go only on special occasions! (Christmas, Easter, etc)Now that I live on my own, I don't have anyone pressuring me to go to church but many times I passed in front of churches and I felt some possible need to go in. But I never did. Maybe because I'm afraid God could punish me for not coming to see him on Sundays!
