Neurotic disorder (neurosis) is the form of mental illness that can be considered as severe forms of normal experiences, for example, depression, stress related, somatoform disorders and anxiety. Psychosis is much more severe and involves distortion of reality, often accompanied by delusions or hallucinations, for example, manic depression (bipolar disorder and schizophrenia).

Feel free to ask questions about neurosis and psychosis.

Thus when i am violent and want to kill people, i suffer from a psychosis? When i was a little boy, i seldom remember that i wanted to kill my teacher and parents. Am i a psycho? It still happens frequently that i want to kill people. My reactions are weird and i didn't realize, i thought everyone were the same.

I still haven't understand the difference between neurosis and psychosis, can you explain us much more splash, please? When do we suffer from a psychosis for example?

Well lets say that neurosis is treated more easily than psychosis in a way or another. What exactly did you miss Pixie? Are you in australia now?

My ex was diagnosed with Psychotic. She had blackouts supposedly for years.
She would do things then say she didn't remember doing it, thus never apologizing.
They can also become violent, and delusional. Delusional as in thinking things are happening and they really aren't. The violence can be triggered by the delusional part making it extremely dangerous. My kids weren't babies, so we lived thru it. We could defend ourselves. But as it worsened, lets just say it went outside the home & family and she was seen by professionals.

Example #2:
In the city I live, a women, recently cut off the arms of her two babies (violence) while playing religious music in her apartment. She did this because God wanted this sacrifice. (delusional)

It may sound funny, but she also admitted part of the sacrifice was to cut off her own head as part of the offering. She didn't get around to this.

It's definitely, professional help required of a high degree.

I spoke with a lecturer on this subject, and they believe it is inherited, however it seems to be in "doses". Some get more and some get less.
It's very sad and the people don't "ask to have it". But like ahlzheimer's an average person has no idea how serious things can get in the sick persons mind.
