I am pregnant but my boyfriend is not ready to be father. He believes, it would tie him down and what would his parents think, being in a conservative family?
I thought he really loved me but now, it seems his only choice is to get rid of our baby.
I can't keep it, my mother would die of shame and my father would throw me out of the house!

I am having guilty feelings and very disturbed since some days, can you please help me out?

Yes of course Edna, first of all i think you will have to be sure if you want to keep the baby or not, the choice is only yours, think for tomorrow and about your family and career, do not destroy your entire life for a simple mistake.
It's not too late, you have to decide and think for your welfare.

the abortion pill is a good alterantive for women in your position

Edna, I don't think that because he is not ready to be a father yet that he does not love you! If I may ask how old are you? You sound realitivly young, are you ready to have a child now? Maybe your partner just wants to be secure in life before he ahs a baby. How do you feel about abortion, or adoption? Run ideas past him first of all, you two really just need to talk about it. Just dont pull the "I thought you loved me" card because he problably does love YOU, he just may not be ready to love you AND a CHILD.

Edna I do not think it is right to get rid of the baby.Think a minute what will you prefer your mother to be in shame or the death of an innocent life.Don't you not have a relative or an aunt that could care for the child? Is there not an organisation for this?

He was ready to make love? He should had thought about that before ... His parents have nothing to do with your relationship even if he's from a conservative family.

Why are you disturbed? Use condoms next time, you're not grown up enough for sex obviously, how old are you?

I totally agree with splash!! These logical points that you should have considered before undergoing such irresponsible acts!! Well both you and your partner assumed that you were grown up enough to have sexual relationship and now you must be grown up + responsible enough to assume the consequences of your deeds!! I think that this guy would be a real bastard if he doesn't assume his role of father!! You were two to make love and you ought be two to assume the roles of parents!! This foetus is innocent!! Abortion is a crime!! You don't have the right to make an innocent pay for your immature and irresponsible acts!! You should t to your parents and make his parents aware about it too and assume the consequences!!anyhow I think that your parents will be best to judge what should become of all this story and what solution will be best for you!!

Of course assuming the consequences would be the best solution. And you're totally right when you say that the parents are the best persons to judge what should become of all this story. Above all, if your parents love you, they will accept the fact that you are pregnant and will calm down "after some time' if the news give them a big shock Talk to your mum as she will be the best person to understand you, she knows how great it is to be a mother and how many beautiful things a child can bring in a woman's life

I know that an accident can happen but now you have to make a choice:either you keep the baby, and grow it alone or you get rid of it!Search the courage in your heart to make the right decision as it will be a lifelong one as either one can not de undone.
I'll speak of experience, it's not easy to grow a child alone but God gives you the courage at each step and finally it will be the most wonderful joy that you ever had....Your family will support you whatever they say at first, trust me....

Hi Edna,

Maybe your boyfriend is really not ready for fatherhood and please do not push him into it as you will regret it sooner or later when he will throw this back in your face.Or if you want to grow your child alone that will be your decision alone, with all its joy and pain...
