A friend of mine has a son of 17 years old and he has asthma. Her mum figured out that he smokes since 2 years, and he has asthma often. The last crisis he had was very bad and he had to go to the clinic. His mum told him that he has to stop smoking because his asthma is getting worse. The problem is that he doesn't listen to her and keep smoking. He knows that he can die of asthma but it seems he doesn't care at all but his mum is very scared, he can have a crisis at anytime and die. She doesn't know what to do to make him stop. Any tips plz?

My ex boyfriend has the same asthma and crisis problem, but still keeps on smoking many times in a day, he never listen to anybody, telling that he's fed up of his illness and life... I tried all possible ways to make him stop but in vain...

his mum could ask his own friends to advise and encourage him to quit smoking coz it is could be fatal to him. He might not care what his mum is saying however his own friends could really help i guess here.

Listen we can't do much here to stop the guy from smoking if he knows he can die while smoking and he continues smoking then its his problem if he die..we can't care for the guy if he does not care for himself...

Yeah, sometimes people listen more to what his friends say.

He is a strong headed guy indeed, if i was his mom, i would have give him two large slaps seeing him smoking that he would have quit it immediately!
I know i may sound weird, but it is true, i am the mom and he should by all means listen to me!

His mom will have to be more serious and strict with him, she should talk to him and explain to him that he is endangering his life as well as her's cause she would not be able to forgive herself if something happens to him. She will also have to keep an eye on him to see and stop him from meeting friends or any other people who smoke!
