I think that a minimum of communication is necessary between parents and kid to prevent the situation from becoming unbearable.At least 30 minutes per day is necessary to know how the children are doing in their personal life.This could be achieved by having dinner together or going jogging together.It is the only way to stop children from becoming rebels.

Dealing with children has never been an easy task and we must say, children coping with parents also can be difficult sometimes!!
This is just to say that this works in both ways. I would say DIALOGUE is very important..Each party must try to undesrtand each other, and kinda like a couple, compromise on certain things.
