Hmmm...Archie it would take at least 3 to 4 months, and this is yet on the basis that all parties co-operate and there are no unforeseen delays. Otherwise in some cases event the whole trial take 6 months. But, this does not include dealing with financial matters. If there is any serious disputes between couples over any issue and they failed to solve it by mediation it might take more then 6 months too. So time period depends on the circumstances.
So i think your brother has to wait for some time in order to enjoy company of his new girl friend.

I too agree with u as i have personally seen two cases where there is a huge diffrence in time period of trial.
In my friend's case the trial period was of 3 months on ther other hand my bro. have to wait 9 months for finally get divorce.
It's all depend upon circumstances and many other factors as mentioned by u.
