"Why do I let him treat me like this?"

These are the words my friend uttered when she opened up her problem to me. Apparently her husband has been cheating on her for a long time now. But she just kept quiet and never confonted him for fear that he would leave her. She said she loves him very much that she can't live without him. She wants to make the hurting stop but doesn't know how.

What can be done in situations such as what my friend has?

Not much. I've been in that situation. You can tell them to leave him all you want, but they, like most people, are bound by that beautiful yet sometimes awful bond called love. She just has to get to the point where it hurts her enough or something happens that triggers her to actually do something about it. You just need to be the friend who's there to catch her when she falls so to speak

He shoudl fear her that she may leave him, what let him walk all over her ver and over again. She must bring up teh subjecta dn let himm no she is "NOT DUMB" and know whats going on. Either warn him to stop doing it or she will leave and take everything and the kids with her if they have any, maybe this will open his eyes!

I guess being a friend is the only thing you can do for her. But try to shake her from that attitude, of course. She may listen to you or maybe not. It's up to her to decide.

For as long as she loves him, I think she will keep on taking this silently. But a time will come when she'll realized she can't take it anymore, she may either tell him her feelings or just walk out of the relationship.

there are quite a few transition houses thoughout canada and the US ( I am not sure where you are) that are very friendly and very helpful. Your friend might want to check those out. Or she could call the cops one night when he is attacking her just so the cops will spook him a bit.

She needs to get away from him. Someone who hurts her is not worth her time, in my opinion. There's a very famous saying - "No man is worth your tears, and the one who is will never make you cry."

she ll have to open up to her husband and tell him tht she wants him adly in her life and try to make him understand...and reques him to be only hers...then leave it without much discussion...and give him time...may be it ll make him think and he can change...such people ll change when they realise thier mistake.....

she could try talking him i guess...but if he doesn't listen to her...she has no other choice but to leave him...as a friend all you can do is give her the facts...and be prepared to support her on her decisions...
