Yes its ok to met people through myspace, thats why they allow them to list so many intrests lol.

I've been on the site for a while, but I don't really try to find people. However, my first boyfriend who I've been with for over 2 years, I found on the net, so it's a possibility. But, always be sensible and careful... there -are- a lot of weirdos out there. Plus, peoples personalities on the internet etc. are much different than in real life - so be ready for that.

I would say it's safe to meet anyone from anywhere as long as you do it properly. I've met a few people off of the internet and it turned out great in some cases, and in others it was a disaster. People are different on the internet than they are in real life - that's the biggest shocker. So that person who's chatty online might actually be a total mute in real life!

Recently in the news i have heard many stories of people meeting over myspace and then one fo the people killing the other. This shows how dangerous the internet can be, because you never know who is really on the other side of the computer screen.

On the other hand, you hear one story from 1000000, and then judge the whole internet off that isolated case..

The risk is there, you just have to be sensible, don't be stupidly paranoid, there's nothing wrong with giving out your name, but on the other hand don't be stupidly rash, there is a balance to be hit.

A lot of the news you hear about myspace is misleading. How many creeps do you hear about raping and killing others they meet in real life, as opposed to how many creeps you meet on myspace that rape and kill people?
