Hi,
Well ...experiencing the present situation of my family, my spouse and I have decided now that it is high time to settle our divorce. Therefore, I wanted to inquire about the possibility of saving money by hiring one common attorney? Since I do not know anything in this context, I want you people to share your experience here with we people...any info given by you people will truly be appreciated! --- Sabrina Last edited by tina : 12-20-2005 at 06:20 PM. |

Hey Sabrina, if saying from an ethical point of view, it would be not right in Kentucky, as the attorney will be ever claiming to represent both of you in a divorce action. Since, he or she simply cannot guarantee that every aspect of the divorce settlement sketched is fair to both parties. In addition, the attorney will have to represent one of you and the other should be consulting with competent legal counsel before going ahead with any documents. It is quite likely that you may be able to find an attorney who can review the Property Settlement Agreement and other agreements and only charge you for an hour or so of legal time. Also, it is possible that only then can you both be assured that the agreements are absolutely equitable to both parties.
